WHO WE ARE

Safe Space’s Vision

Our vision is a world in which everyone in our human family receives care. That is why, at Safe Space, our social purpose is to help you and your loved ones find healing within yourselves, as individuals, and with each other, as a couple and/or family. Because we believe that, if we can strengthen ourselves, we can strengthen our families, and, in turn, our world.

Embracing who we are, where we come from, and where we want to be—together.

What is Safe Space?

Safe Space Counselling Services is a private psychotherapy practice located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the xÊ·məθkwÉ™y̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and SÉ™l̓ílwÉ™taÊ”/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, colonially known as Vancouver (Kitsilano), BC, Canada.

Founded in 2016, Safe Space specializes in helping individuals, couples and families of diverse background strengthen sense of self and bonds with each other. We also strive to support families and family members young and old impacted by experiences such as oppression and marginalisation, as well as those that have found it difficult to find understanding and effective help through the mainstream or more widely available private, community or public health services.

As our team includes both fully licensed therapists and Master’s-level interns/students, we are able to provide therapy at a variety of rates. We are licensed to serve residents of British Columbia, Canada.

We warmly welcome you to Safe Space, and we look forward to meeting you!
